From Canada Day to Classic Cars to Blueberries to Fire Trucks!
Another week of spending time with family to visiting community events.
My family and friends gathered on Canada Day at my Mom’s in Petrolia with a delicious meal and great music followed by a patriotic display of fireworks. It was nice to connect and relax and celebrate the wonderful country we live in.
My cardiologist checked my pacemaker and gave me a clean bill of health and then I was off to a meeting for the Corunna Foodbank.
I am honoured to be the Chairperson to guide this dedicated group of volunteers developing a new structure for the foodbank. More to come on this as things progress.
Sunny Saturday was the perfect day to visit the Car Show and Heaven’s Wildlife fundraiser at Holme Automotive in Corunna. A celebration of classic cars and helping animals.
A scenic drive down St. Clair Parkway took me to the annual Blueberry Social at the Sombra Museum. Visit the Sombra Museum this summer and explore early life, shipping and how the Polish people were involved in the World Wars.
Stopped for a quick visit and snack at Sombra Days. Another incredible annual event that happens only because of the dedication of volunteers.
I was a little late dropping by the Brigden Firefighters 100 year celebration but I caught a glimpse of their 100 year old firetruck side by side with the modern all terrain vehicle.
So much fun in St. Clair Township!
