Have you ever gone to the St. Clair Township website and tried to find the information you’re looking for? Sometimes it’s a challenge. Improving small things like a more user friendly, easier to navigate website makes a big difference when you need to find information quickly.
I want to ensure that information is easier to read too. Infographics are much easier to understand things like budgets when you can see where the money is allocated in something like a pie graph rather than a big list of numbers.
Residents need to be kept better informed and Council needs to hear from residents more often. I plan to ask that we hold more community engagement events to learn more about the wants and needs of our community.
I made my list of ideas to get information out to you early this year and I’m glad see some of these items are being explored and created by St. Clair Township’s new communications person. I advocated for this position during my terms on council and I will bring more ideas forward.
